Audacity Reads

Audacity Pro feature

Do you miss out on important or interesting knowledge because you don’t have time to read something when you first notice it? And then, well, life happens and you end up forgetting it, only remembering you missed it during a conversation where it might have come in handy.

Since Audacity is meant not only to make your life easier but also more efficient, we created a feature that allows you to save documents, news feeds, and articles to read later.

What does it do?

With Audacity Pro you can bookmark unlimited articles, feeds, pages, etc. and read them later. When you bookmark a webpage, the app will automatically generate a PDF and save it on the Feeds and Reads section in the app. You will find this section in the bottom bar menu (if you’re using an iPhone instead of the section’s title, you will have a Bookmark icon). Users can then choose whether to read it offline in the app, or access the link provided at the bottom of the PDF to read it in its original format.

How does it work?

On your iPhone / iPad

  1. Find a page you would like to save to read later
  2. When on the desired page, click the share icon at the right of the website bar ()

  3. Share with Audacity Tasks app

Note: Alternatively to points 2 and 3 above, you can also copy the link and paste it directly on the Audacity app on your Today’s view as a task

4. It will automatically create a document in the Feeds and Reads section of the Audacity Pro app ()

5. You can then access it whenever you want in the Audacity Pro app, and either:

       – read the pdf generated in Audacity (which is saved by the app so you can read it offline)

       – click the blue box at the bottom of the pdf that says “Go to original article” to read it online
